A combination of factors such as lack of a government school in the village, unemployed parents, low wages, gender and caste based discrimination contribute to this situation.
CRY - Child Rights and You along with 5000 communities in villages and slums and 1.5 lakh individuals across India, is working towards changing this situation. |

Anjar Education Society is not merely a school that imparts education. Ours is a school functioning with donations for the last 10 years.
It is a school that takes care of the underprivileged children. There's a clear difference in the style of functioning in our school. Care and affection bestowed on the children and the friendly ambience plays an important role.
Teachers are dedicated in every respect as per as the standard of education is concerned. Special care is taken to select the books as well as prepare the syllabus. Regular follow-up with the guardian encourages the children to perform better.
The mid-day meal enriched with protein, health check-up, uniforms, books & stationeries, festival gifts, special treats and more so the exposure to the outside world are not to be found in other local schools.
Due to lack of space, students are being denied admission. Hence, we need to expand so that we can cater to all applicants.
