School is a word which is so familiar today. The term refers to a
place where teaching is transferred. There are various types of
schools. Some schools are formal and others are informal. Still,
some others are non-formal.
School in an institutionalized structure of education. Today the
system of education has become very complex because of many
hierarchical orders and disorders that govern the functioning of
school. In ancient time the system of education was very simple and
the students directly learned from the master in the warm and serene
environment of the ashram system.

Today the schools, the tree of knowledge that marked the serene and
scenic places of nature, have been uprooted and placed in the urban
man made jungle.
The school is based on tutor-student relation. Today self-learning
is very much less in contrast to text book learning. There is less
room for creativity. If at all there is the inducement for such
works are often really very rare. And this is what is troubling us.
Where has all the creativity gone? Why only memorise? Why only
write? WE have no answer to these questions. Perhaps the system has
to provide us with the answers.
The duty of a school is not to produce excellent and intelligent
students. Rather a school should continuously try to produce and
provide the society with good human beings. We believe that
discipline is the first and foremost requirement for a student. If a
student is disciplined, and if the discipline comes to him from the
inside,
other virtues are bound to follow.
A School is also a temple. The very purpose of education is the
total development of students’ personality. To do that an atmosphere
of freedom is required and unnecessary formalities are to be
avoided. Every single student is made to feel that he or she is just
a part of a very big family. Indeed, we are a very big family.
